Let’s talk about … rain

I never thought that a nature’s phenomenon could help me this much. I always loved the rain, but up until today I never thought it could have therapeutical values, not just psychological but physical too.

I have not felt so good for the last couple of days, I lay in bed bored, alone, and a little sick, when all of a sudden it started to rain, to pour actually with big drops. The sound was unbelievably loud, like a symphony; and the feeling left behind was that of a thick and heavy woolen blanket in a very cold winter. I turned off any machine that made any sound in the house (either way, the power went down soon after it started raining) and I laid there listening to the rain underneath the invisible blanket I felt on top of me.

I slept so good after that, and when I woke up I felt so much better. Maybe because I fell asleep very calm and relaxed, or maybe it was the sound and feel of the rain, either way, when I woke up I felt amazing.

I recommend to everyone a small dose of rain as often as possible. To be taken auditory. Not to be taken in combination with: watching a movie, listening to music etc. In case you have company while experiencing such a rain, it would be best if the person next to you appreciates the rain as much as you do.
